Sir Alex hurt in alleged attack

Sir Alex Ferguson has suffered minor injuries after an alleged attack at a London train station. It is understood the Manchester United manager was on his wayto a function when he was allegedly attacked by a man at Euston station on Monday afternoon. A British Transport Police spokesman confirmed that 65-year-old Sir Alex suffered leg injuries. A 40-year-old man has been charged with actual bodily harm, assault and a public order offence. He is due to appear at at Westminster Magistrates' Court, central London, on Wednesday.
Sir Alex, who was born in Glasgow, is not believed to have been badly hurt and attended the planned function in the city.

In the offendant's shoes, I'd definitely want a jury trial before a jury of his peers. After all how could they possibly find him guilty of doing what we all would've wished we had the balls to do :-)

I'm a massive Arsenal fan and certainly no lover of Alex Ferguson but how can you make such flippant comments about an asault on somebody just going about their normal daily business ?

How would you feel if Arsene Wenger was assaulted in Manchester and a United fan suggested that the attacker deserved a medal ?

It's comments like yours that turn healthy rivalry and banter into all out hatred.

    Get a life.

  6. This wouldn't have even made the papers had it been anyone else. I would like to hear the other persons side though before I bring in the jury.

  7. The :-) at the end of the post was supposed to indicate my attempt to be funny. Obviously it seems some have found my wisecrack to be in bad taste. Sorry, but as much as I disagree with aggro of any sort, I couldn't help but smile when I heard the story

Anon at 9:23am, what exactly are you referring to?

  9. Oh and by the way, I know exactly why a lot of people hate "my kind", its because they are racist neanderthals who know no better

Anon 9.23 what is the point? Can you not see this in the light-hearted nature it was clearly intended? If you want to play the big man and be racist at least have the bollox to put a name to yourself. SAF was not seriously hurt and still went to the function so it didn't bother him that much did it? Kicking the fuck out of our boys every time they take to the pitch has O.T has obviously come to roost.

  11. racist neanderthals, oh come on whatever next.
I have it on good authority that more Utd fans live around Euston Station as it makes it easier for them to get to OT. So you never know it could be one of your own that did it!

Spot on Sue. I spent 20 minutes yesterday explaining to our author that 'little englanders' were few and far between nowadays and low and behold we get this prick. It's very easy to hide behind a p.c screen when airing your racist views.

Joke or not, I for one think it's not funny. Would you have the same joke at your father's expence had it been him.

Well, you asked in an ealier blog that more people would leave you comments - I think this post should attract the comments that you so crave.

Speaking as a gooner, I'm not a particular fan of any Old Tafford personnel, especially Fergie, but what kind of arsehole goes round beating up pensioners? Worst of all, what kind of arsehole writes a blog in the internet applauding such behaviour?

Well done for making reinforcing the sort of stereotypes that football fans have taken years trying to shake of.

    1. If it had of been my father it wouldn't have been reported.

    2. My father would have given the bloke a good hiding.

Why are all these people using anonymous?

Still as someone mentioned, AF is a pensioner and this should never have happened. However in saying that I thought he was travelling with other blokes?

I bet Arsene gets blamed lol.

So what fergusmoanstopwatch got kicked, I feel sorry for him as I would any other old boy - but I rememebr distinctly thinking that he and Warnock ensured that PV4 had his knee wrecked by Warnock's thugs... jeez they even smiled at eachother with satisfaction when PV4 went down.

P.S. I think you need to do some research on neanderthals - they weren't knuckle dragging mindless fools intent on violence.
